With Spring officially happening this month, I am finally getting my butt in gear with my cleaning. I can proudly say that I have 2 rooms in my house completely deep cleaned. What is your process for Spring Cleaning?
I like to go room by room, so with my house this process takes quite a few days! The first step for my is to remove everything that doesn’t belong in that room. I will either put the items where they belong or they will go in a box for donations if it is something that I will not use anymore. The next step in my deep cleaning is to clean the walls and the ceiling. I do this by putting a damp rag with cleaner on my Swiffer to be able to reach the higher areas. When I am deep cleaning I will Vacuum in all cracks and crevices on the floor. This way I will be able to just use my remote Vacuum for keeping up with the floors.
I will then make sure that I get all the vents and the light switches next. Then I will go from one piece of furniture to another. If it is a cabinet, I will go through all of the drawers and shelves and organize and pull out anything that could be donated. The last steps I take in the room are vacuuming the rugs and hardwood, and then mopping.
I think that my biggest rooms are going to be the bedrooms. I have stated in a post before that I have two bedrooms that have a lot of my brothers and then my parents stuff boxed up that needs to be gone through. I am hoping that I will be able to pull them out of the rooms and find somewhere else for them to sit so that way they can be gone through my brother and dad.
What are some of your Spring Cleaning techniques. I love being able to try new tips and tricks, so feel free to drop ideas that help you with your cleaning in the comments. Let me know how your process is going, have you started. What is your favorite and least favorite room to clean.
I hope that you all have a great week and wish you all the best with your Spring Cleaning Journey!
