My name is Kim and I am from the Pennsylvania area. I was born and raised here and never really went far being that I am living in my childhood home! I went to Slippery Rock University where I received my BA in Business Management and a Minor in Marketing. I had my fair share of basic jobs trying to work my way up the Corporate Ladder and found that I was not truly happy at any of them.
At the time of working in the Sales Department for a bank, I was introduced to a part time babysitting job by my high school friend who was currently their nanny. I was really excited and it was a great job to have on the side because who doesn’t want to play! I would work for the bank and then also would babysit a couple nights a week and also on the weekend. Well, I got fired for the first time ever in my life from the bank and I was devastated. At this time I started to babysit more for the family and my friend had stated that she was not going to be able to continue nannying full time because she was going into grad school. I thought to myself and asked her if she thought that my boss would bring me on as the full time nanny.
Fast forward 8 years and I am still nanny for the same family and I love it. This job is absolutely rewarding! Sure, it can be stressful at times and there are bad days when you do not see eye to eye with the kids. But, I have been able to watch these children grow up and hit different milestones in their lives and that is so rewarding in it self!
I do not want to make this go on forever so let me just tell you a few facts about me. I have a dog named Daisy who is a 12 year old Yorkshire Terrier. There is a story behind me having her, but I will save that for a different day. She is definitely spoiled and I would not have it any other way. Something else to fill you in on is the tough fact that I lost my mom 4 years ago when I was 29. I think about her everyday and she is one of the main reasons that I am following through with my dreams of writing a blog! I am very family oriented and this makes them a huge part of my life! I am trying to live life to the fullest and to succeed in every way possible. Thank you for getting to know me a little better and I can’t wait to get to know you better as well!
