My Book Recommendations

Who here loves to read? I have stated before when talking about the Book of The Month Club that I am someone who loves to settle down and read. I feel that you are able to just shut your mind off and disconnect from everything when you open a book. Reading allows us to be able to live someone else’s story and take a break from our own.

When I was a kid, I never wanted to read. My parents would have to force me to read for school and book reports and papers were always a dramatic time for my mom and I. I really didn’t start to enjoy reading until after college and when I was in my mid twenties.

Life can be so chaotic and reading is something that will calm me down. I honestly wish that I could finish a book in a couple sit downs, but that is not the case. It will take me a couple of weeks to get through a book.

Even though it takes me a few weeks I have been able to read a handful of books that I would highly recommend. I know this list may not feel like it works for some, but that is because everyone has their own style of books they like to engulf themselves in.

I would love to share which ones have excited me. I hope that you are able to find some new reads from this list. If you have read any of these please feel free to share which ones you liked. It is always helpful for other to see that multiple people have enjoyed a specific book! Happy reading!
