Happy St. Patrick’s Day: Hand Print Leprechaun

Wishing you all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Are you wearing your green today? I wanted to give you one last kids craft that is themed to this Holiday! I was even able get an extra helper, as Jonah was interested in doing this craft as well. There will be lots of pictures because I had to take two pictures of each step! Hope that you enjoy this fun and creative craft!

Supplies:

  • Green, Orange, Yellow, White, Red, and Black Construction Paper (we used the foam paper again)
  • Glue Stick
  • Scissors
  • Sharpie
  • Pencil

Steps:

  • Trace your hand out on the Orange paper
  • Cut out your hand print
  • Draw out your hat on the green paper and then cut out
  • Cut out the black for the strip hat and the gold square for the hat as well.
  • Trace out a white circle and cut out. This is for the face so you will want to make sure it is small enough to fit properly in your palm print.
  • Now that you have all your main pieces, it is time to glue everything on your hand print and the hat.
  • Time to work on your face. I am going to combine these into one step. You will need to cute a small circle in the red paper for the nose, 2 orange shapes for the eyebrows. With a Sharpie you will draw on the eyes and smile. Jonah took the creative route and glued on googly eyes.
