Kids Craft Idea: Water Color Painting

Hope that your weekend is going well so far. I wanted to drop this post today because I know that at least where I live, the weather is not going to be very nice. We are going to have cold and rainy weather. This is a great indoor craft for the kids. I also really enjoyed this craft and feel you adults will also! We are going to be doing a Watercolor painting but adding in some extra creativeness with painters tape.

Supplies:

  • A thicker paper we used drawing paper
  • Watercolors
  • Cups with water
  • Paint Brushes
  • Painters Tape we used Frog Tape
  • Paper Towels

Steps

  • Take your white papers and lay them out landscape.
  • Then you are going to take the Painters tape and rip off pieces and put in different ways on the paper to make it look like a stained glass pattern. You can use as little much tape as your want and get creative with your shapes and the sizes.
  • Now it is time to bring some color to this paper! You will get your brush wet and get the watercolor shade of your choice on the brush and add it to the section you want to paint.
  • Continue with this process until you have the whole paper filled in with the paint in your spaces.
  • Now it is time to remove the Painters tape form the paper and reveal your final masterpiece!

There you have you it! I hope that you have a wonderful time with this craft. If you did this craft please feel free to leave comments on how everything went!
