Now that all of the Holidays are over, I guess that it has come to that time when we take down the Christmas decorations. If I could keep them up all year round I would. Not because I love Christmas so much, but because I am not a fan of how much time it takes to come down.
I normally would start to take the decorations down after Christmas, but we did have the excitement of my brother and sister in law getting married last weekend. Hands down one of the most beautiful and fun weddings that I have been to.
So now this weekend will start the process, which is a long one. The first step will to bring all of the bins and boxes for the decorations up from the basement. Trust me this is a lot of boxes! I want to do the packing up a little differently this time. When I unpacked all of the stuff when starting to decorate, there was no order to it and it was very random.
The way that I would like to do it this time is to box everything up by room. I am hoping that I will have enough bins to do this way, fingers crossed!
When I am done packing up the bins and then I will label each one with the room that the decorations believe it. One of the items that has saved my packing up of the ornaments for the past few years are the sectioned packing cubes. The ornaments fit so nicely inside and they stack nicely on top of each other in the basement.

Once everything is packed up it will have to go nicely in the basement. So, wish me luck on this dreaded yearly tradition of putting a house full of Christmas decorations away. Next up Valentine’s Day decor!
