Earth Day Craft For Kids

Happy Earth Day to you all! I know that some people will over look this day, but I wanted to do something with the kids this year. We have a lot of things around us that are harmful to us and the environment. Jonah and I got to see an example of what happens today. A neighbor of theirs overstuffed the trash can and something got into it leaving the trash to fly all over the street, yards, and the sewer drains. I was not to happy and I totally was having a moment!

Well, we wanted to do a fun craft with Rebecca so that way we could share it with you! It is a picture of the Earth with a party hat because we are celebrating!

Supplies

  • Assortment of colors of paper for the picture we used a bunch
  • Scissors
  • Pencil for drawing before cutting out
  • Glue stick

Start by picking out your background color and then picking out the color you want the earth to be. On the paper for the earth draw a circle. Rebecca used her markers to trace the circle and I free handed it.

Then time to glue the circle on your background paper.

Trace out your land pieces and then cute them and glue them where you wish on your Earth.

Time to cute out your eyes mouth and get them glued on the earth! Get creative and make them however you wish! Also time to make your party hat and glue that on as well !

Now time to make your confetti out of whatever color paper you wish and glue on wherever you want to around the earth!

I hope that you enjoyed this craft! Please leave a comment on the post if you did this with your kids!
