So Thankful For My Cleaning Schedule!

There are so many types of ways to clean. You have the one that is able to clean without any schedule, the chaotic cleaner that just runs around and clean (which was me). There is also those who need a written out schedule to help keep on top of the cleaning without losing their mind (which is me now).

I used to run around the house and speed clean as I made circles around each room. Even though this was a productive way to clean because things got done, it drove me insane! I looked into a lot of different techniques to see which one would be work best for myself.

The one that worked best for me was taking and breaking down all of the major cleaning tasks by room across a weekly schedule. This one seemed the best for me because I love to make a daily list and stick it to get everything done. So, by making a weekly cleaning schedule, I would feel as though it is another list to stick to!

I am going to post what my Weekly Cleaning Chart looks like below. The chart is really simple and it is crazy to me how something so simple can make such a difference in the cleaning process!

Here is a picture of my cleaning schedule!

Now I know that this could have been made to look a lot nicer but all I needed was something to put on my bulletin board to reference. These days I just have a basic idea of what is scheduled for each day from using this schedule for a few months now. Since we are approaching the colder weather I might also adjust the schedule as far as the outside task to make it more appropriate for the snow (ugh we got some today)!

When I made the schedule I tried to spread the bigger rooms and hard projects throughout the week making sure I didn’t double up on the same day. Once I had the bigger rooms spread out, I then divided the smaller projects throughout the week.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are times that I will swap days or move some things around. But, having this up has made my cleaning life so much more pleasant and less stressful!

If you have a certain way to clean and a different method than mine, please feel free to share them in the comments. Also, if you decide to try out this technique let me know in the comments.

I hope that you are all having a great November and are staying warm if you are in an area that deals with the colder weather! Remember to stay positive and come back tomorrow to see what is posted!
