Subscription Recommendation: Home Chef

I can say that I have tried a handful of Food Subscription services. Hands down, Home Chef has been my absolute favorite. I have been with Home Chef for a little over a year now. I have done this service before but then I stopped it briefly because I needed to take a break. I am going to share some of my favorite parts of having a subscription with Home Chef.

You have the option from a handful of different meal options for each week that you decide to get. There are different types of meals such as:

  • Culinary Collection: This option is a little more pricey but it allows you to have those Culinary like meals at your house.
  • Meal Kits: These are the regular priced options that you can choose from and they offer vegetarian, chicken, pork, beef, and seafood options.
  • 15 Minute Meal Kits: These are the same prices as the Meal Kits but they offer options for those quick and easy to make meals that are good for when you have busy schedule.
  • Fast and Fresh: Also at the same price as the regular meal kits, this option has no prep and it is easy to make.
  • Oven Ready: Another regular priced option, that allows for easy prep and you get a pan to cook it in.
  • Entree Salad: This is a nice add on that you can have to add to your meals.
  • Protein Pack: This is a way to get a weeks worth of meats of your choice to have for meals. I have never chosen this option and it is rather pricey.

The meals that you choose all come with a card like the ones pictured above. These are recipe cards and they tell you all the necessary steps to make the meals. I love that they are set up in steps and they offer pictures to see for each step. One great thing about the Home Chef App is that you are able to get access to all of your past meals in a cookbook section. Also, if you choose to skip a week of meals you still have the option to see the recipe of those meals if you would like to make one of them on your own.

As you can see in the picture above, they place all the ingredients that you will need which are already set the measurements that you need for the recipes. They label all of the bags with the name of the meals, so that way there is not any confusion. All of the meats will come packaged alone and that is amazing because there is no need to worry about any cross contamination.
