Welcome Spring!

Hello everyone! I hope that as you are reading this post, all is well with you. So, we are officially in our first full week of Spring. This is exciting for someone from where I live because I am ready to embrace the warmer weather. Some of you might not know but the first day of Spring was this past Saturday.

Even though Spring is not my favorite season ( I am a lover of Fall), I still do enjoy the weather. As I am typing out this blog I am hanging out in my room. I have the window open and love being able to bring in the fresh air. Along with the fresh air, another thing that I enjoy is being able to hear all the happy kids playing outside at the school near my house. Their laughter and screams of fun make me smile and especially after going through this pandemic, outside time is great for their soul!

I am very excited to put in a better effort on my flower bed in front of my house. I do love to do it but this year I am looking to make it the best it has every been! I have had a huge problem with weeds coming up so I am taking the step of putting a weed blocking tarp down before planting. I am hoping that will help because I am tired of it looking like a jungle. I am hoping to bring a lot of colors to the flower bed this year, last year was a lot of orange and yellows.

I am also looking forward to getting outside more. I am working on bettering myself and that has included my journey in weight loss. Daisy and I will be taking more walks which will be just as good for her as well as myself. I am looking to invest in a bike to go bike riding on the trail more. Another investment Joe and I both are interested in making is for Kayaks because we went last year when we were in Erie and I loved it. Joe has been Kayaking many times. This would just be a great outdoor activity that we can do together.

With Spring comes the classic term, Spring cleaning. I am fully in that mode now. I have gotten the living room, kitchen, addition, office, and powder room fully cleaned. I still have a bunch of rooms left in this house but I am going to get through it one day at a time. One of the hardest parts is going to be the spare bedrooms and the basement. I am also looking forward to getting the backyard looking nicer as well.

I am going to be having some more post on ideas for fun during the Spring. You can expect some more craft ideas for the kids for Spring and Easter which is quickly approaching. I will have some DIY projects as well some helpful cleaning and organization tips. I am going to also cover post on fun activities for kids outside in this nice weather as well as date ideas for the Spring.

I hope that you all have a great day and as usual, remember to stay positive!
