I am the type of person that is I don’t have it written down, I am going to forget. I have tried multiple times but it never works. Ever since high school I have had a planner. The concept of just being able to see the whole month, week, and day laid out in front of me helps me to stay calm. I am not good when I get overwhelmed and tend to shut down. The planner I have been using the last few years is called a Happy Planner.
They have so many different styles and sizes. You can replace them yearly or just replace the insides each year. I have had the cover to my planner for three years now. They have many different layouts for the inserts, The one I have has the month view, a weekly view, and a notes section. I am not the biggest fan of the weekly layout because each of the days space is too small. They also have budget inserts, list inserts, fitness inserts, and so much more. I also love the many stickers you can buy to go along with the planners.
I am going to link some items below for you too see. These are just my preference, the choices are endless.
The next thing that helps keep me on track is a plain notebook. The uses for a plain notebook are endless. I personally like a medium notebook with a hard cover.
Once of the main reasons that I use a notebook is for list making. I would the first to admit that my list making can get a little intense. Sometimes, my list can have lists of their own! That is not what we are here to talk about though ( I did an earlier post about my to do list, check it out)! Notebooks are also good for anything that you want to write down to help get it off your mind. My Avon business orders always get put into the notebook as well. In face this very blog post was made by writing it down in my notebook because I didn’t have my computer with me.
Listed below are some suggestions as notebooks but, just like the planners the selection is so much bigger. My favorite notebook is the one from Michaels with the hard cover.
Last but still very important in my life is my journal. There are many different styles of journals from bullet journals, prompts, gratitude, blank, self reflection, and more. I have to give credit to my best friend Natasha for my current journal. I am telling you now, that this is my favorite one that I have ever had before.
The journal is a daily self reflection one. This journal allows me to pick how I am feeling in the beginning of the day and create my own daily affirmations to start the day with. I also have a space to pick one word that I am going to focus on describing my day. Then, you come back at the end of the day and fill out the second page. On this page is asks you to write about the following:
- What made me happy
- What challenged me
- How did I help someone
- What could I have done different
- What did I learn about myself
I love this journal because it sets me up for a great day and it helps me to get all the thoughts out of my head at night.
I am going to link some different Journal options below and the first one is the link for my current journal!
